Digging through some old tapes, I found newly-minted Republican Senatorial candidate (for the state of Delaware) Christine O’Donnell’s first two appearances on Bill Maher’s POLITICALLY INCORRECT. Here’s the 05-16-1997 episode, featuring O’Donnell, Al Franken, Rick Schroder, & Star Parker, Part 1…

Part 2…

And here’s her second appearance, from 07-09-1997, featuring O’Donnell, Clive Barker, Sophie B. Hawkins, & Wil Shriner, Part 1…

Part 2…

Christine O’Donnell seems like an ant hole that was made into the proverbial mountain by both the news media and the right-wing blowhards. I grew up in Delaware before moving out, and I have to say, Delaware is a mostly middle-of-the-road, moderate state compared to others in this nation. I don’t think O’Donnell has a chance in hell getting elected barring an unforeseen political disaster on the Democratic side running. O’Donnell has a dubious past anyway and she says a lot of out-to-rightfield comments that alarm most of the populace. “Condoms don’t work” “No abortions no matter the circumstances” “I’m very religious but I won’t let that effect my voting if elected” and other things said by her make me nervous but I must concede there is a portion of the population that likes hearing those things said and acted upon. Thankfully there are other portions of the population that disagree. Oh yeah, seeing O’Donnell and the teapartyers after these recent events in Delaware makes me distrust and dislike Sarah Palin even more.
