What happens when two young men let their love of movies, comic books, and all things “geek” take over their lives? They run away from their families, bringing only the most essential DVDs and comics to their secret, highly fortified underground bunker in sunny Southern California, where they start recording podcasts that will change the world.

Are they heroes?

No.

Are they geniuses?

Far from it.

Are they the future of this planet?

I sure hope not.

Simply put… Matt Cohen and Jesse Rivers are “Bagged and Boarded”.

BAGGED & BOARDED #33: A Spider With Gigantic Mouse Ears – In which Matt and Jesse are in the same room again and discuss the big issue of the millennia – Disney purchasing Marvel. Throw in some random Anime/One Piece chatter and general cleaning house, and you’ve got yourself a jam-packed pod-tastic audio adventure. Remember to keep your hands and feet inside the awesomeness at all times.

  6. John Says:

been looking forward to the reuniting of great minds. giving it a listen… now.

  7. Emlyn Says:

I agree with Matt completely on the Marvel/Disney issue. Disney didn’t buy a successful company because they wanted to change everything. They’re a business, they’re about making money. Right now, the Marvel status quo is what’s successful. The Marvel model is to take risks, so I believe Disney will hold on to that.

Marvel will probably be an addition more in the vein that Pixar was. Still allowed to do what they want but with more financial backing.

Fox really want to make another FF movie? Is it that much of a money spinner that Disney are clamouring for the rights to revert? Oh, well, maybe the third time’s the charm and FF will be the reverse Spider-Man.

  8. rob Says:

I Use To LOVE One Piece, I should check it out again.

  9. John Says:

    Nobody is underrating True Romance.

  10. BallsMonkey Says:

I have to note this is one of the rare times where Matt was making more sense than Jesse. lol

  11. Matt S. Says:

Mr. Cohen, do you even pay attention to the comics you read?

Connor Kent is alive. He came back in Geoff Johns/George Perez’s Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds mini-series. Adventure Comics is a current, in-continuity story.

Also, The Unwritten is a Vertigo release, not IDW.

    I blame the weed.

  12. MattCohen Says:

Caught the Unwritten error before the ep went up.. My bad, yes it is a Vertigo book.

As far as Connor being alive, thats awful man. Really. Final Crisis was bad enough, but they leave something that major to a mini? (that I obviously didnt read).

So Connor is alive now and noone cares?

  13. SupaGamaX Says:

people care about Conner being back, doesn’t he headline action comics now? he came back with bart allen. Matt, you should check out legion of three worlds, its a lot of fun and Superboy prime finally gets whats coming to him

  14. Jarret Mitchell Says:

Great Episode. Good to have you guys back together.

So I may be mistaken but I thought that “Holding Out For A Hero” was from Short Circuit not Footloose… like I said I could be wrong…

The geek tattoo is a great idea also
