Adult Swim’s Dana Snyder and FRED’s Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
Actor/comedian/raconteur Dana Snyder, you’re certainly aware, is Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s Master Shake, Squidbillies‘ Granny, Minoriteam’s Dr. Wang, and The Venture Bros.‘ Alchemist. Available for weddings and bar mitzvahs (bat availability pending), you can keep tabs on him via his website, www.eyeofthesnyder.com.
Ken Plume is the editor-in-chief here at FRED. He is a friend of Dana’s, as well as his arch-nemesis.

KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #90: Where’s Your Nail? – Ken returns sans a Down Under recovering Dana with another very special guest co-hosting appearance from Doc Hammer, of VENTURE BROS. fame, as the banter runs fast and witty, even if its sense of balance is compromised by an inner-ear disease (syndrome?).

By the way Doc, at the deli I work at we sell “Rembrandt” dutch cheese. 😉
Comment by Dre — April 9, 2009 @ 9:23 pm
I was going to say excellent podcast but Doc Hammer really ruined it for me.
Comment by Ramon — April 9, 2009 @ 10:07 pm
excellent..what..oh crap..i wasn’t looking while typing..
anyway, good ‘cast!
Comment by astan — April 9, 2009 @ 10:16 pm
um… excellent podcast?
Comment by ash — April 9, 2009 @ 10:35 pm
Oh shit, I should clarify. Doc Hammer didn’t ruin the cast, he was brilliant. But he ruined the phrase “excellent podcast.” I should have been less vague.
Comment by Ramon — April 9, 2009 @ 11:19 pm
I think Doc Hammer is fantastic as a fill in co host. Not that he’ll ever read this, or care. He’s Doc Hammer.
Comment by Douglas Waltz — April 10, 2009 @ 6:36 am
Whoa, I was JUST at work thinking how great it would be to hear from Doc again. He’s cool as shit. Thanks again, guys. (Yes, even you, Ken.)
Comment by Sam Fines — April 10, 2009 @ 7:17 am
Doc Hammer’s obviously a cool guy because he rolls his own cigarettes, but shame on Dana for leaving Ken unchecked for yet another week. Dana get your ass back and get Ken’s ass back in line. He needs humbling, thinking he’s all cool being Hammer’s Nail.
Comment by _kelly.King — April 10, 2009 @ 12:24 pm
these last two podcasts have been the best! doc hammer is amazingly funny, we need more doc in the house. steal him from jackson more often. thanks
Comment by chris r — April 10, 2009 @ 2:04 pm
Gotta agree with others here: Doc rocks.
Now, it’s not that we don’t love our Dana/Ken time, it’s just that we need to remember why we wanted to hear them both in the first place.
(Not to mention that variety is the spice of life.)
So I look forward getting back to the familiar Snydecasts soon, but now I always happily await Doc’s triumphant return.
Perhaps a three-way?
Comment by Ian — April 11, 2009 @ 3:57 pm
Two weeks ago I had never heard of Doc Hammer. Now he is my hero.
Comment by Duane — April 11, 2009 @ 10:02 pm
EXCELLENT PODCAST
Comment by Dillon — April 12, 2009 @ 12:12 am
Awesome. Maybe we’re your little “Hambonitas”? And I’m sure the rumors that I started about Dana getting popped for trying to smuggle a Koala out of the country in his FUPA are completely untrue. But should they be, I look forward to the next Ken P./ Dr. Hammercast.
Comment by Anthony — April 13, 2009 @ 6:01 am
“Excellent Pod Cast” in a drone voice
Comment by Gread — April 13, 2009 @ 12:13 pm
…I think I’m in love with Doc Hammer.
I’m a hetero man, but I could listen to him all day.
Comment by Apitoxin — April 13, 2009 @ 11:21 pm

Comment by snydecateer #2410243 — April 14, 2009 @ 4:32 am
Well, Hammer, you’re not a vegan if you eat dairy, silly.
Comment by Steph — April 15, 2009 @ 12:59 pm
I’m guessing Doc knows he’s not a vegan because he says “I’m not really a vegan because I eat chocolate”.
Comment by Dogmanstar — April 15, 2009 @ 7:32 pm
Get Doc and Jackson with both yooz guys aye!
Good shit! Thanks Ken! Thanks Doc!
Comment by germ — April 25, 2009 @ 2:09 am
You spoke of the Philadelphia Lockjaw accent. It seems that the late author John Cheever also used that type of accent.
Many people wondered where he acquired it as he grew up in Quincy, Ma and they did not talk like Thurston Howell, III.
Comment by RoxofSpazhouse — April 26, 2009 @ 6:35 pm
I vote for more Doc Hammer on this podcast!!! He can fill in anytime!
Comment by Trigger — May 20, 2009 @ 6:39 pm
Mein gott, Doc is so much like me.
Loves art and fashion and 19th century literature.
I’d love to meet him.
