What happens when two young men let their love of movies, comic books, and all things “geek” take over their lives? They run away from their families, bringing only the most essential DVDs and comics to their secret, highly fortified underground bunker in sunny Southern California, where they start recording podcasts that will change the world.

Are they heroes?

No.

Are they geniuses?

Far from it.

Are they the future of this planet?

I sure hope not.

Simply put… Matt Cohen and Jesse Rivers are “Bagged and Boarded”.

BAGGED & BOARDED #20: Where the Wildly Rambling Things Are  – In which Matt and Jesse get all topical again, as they wax on about all things “Geektacular”. Movies, comics, video games, cartoons, food-porn, and yes… one of those things is not like the other. Pull up a seat and learn you some…

    rocko was awesome…

  3. Emlyn Says:

    Great show, as always.

  4. Sauce Says:

Jesse is a saint, due to the amount moronic rhetoric coming out Matt’s mouth he puts up with. I almost only listen to the show in hopes that Jesse will challenge Matt’s crazy innerworld. Respect for code monkeys talk though.

  5. Emlyn Says:

Also, just listening to the commentary for the first time (due to only now having the DVD) and you say that I’m female. I’m not.

personally, i tend to agree with matt most of the times, esp. our taste in movies and cartoons. On the other hand, i feel as thou i act more like jesse because every once in a while matt says something and then im like “what?.” Its almost immediately followed by jesse saying that same thing or something akin to it.
its weird in a way, but i guess that’s just one of the reason i like to download this podcast.

I had this on at work and the boss snuck in the back door. He heard gimme my porn & jelly snadwich before I could kill the speakers. He looked at me slightly puzzled and walked past to his office. I have no idea what he thought he heard but I bet it is sweet.

It is crazy that I had never heard of this podcast before last week but it is true sadly. I have since went back and listened to all of the back catalog (I listen to my ipod at work) and I must say “This is a great f’ing podcast sir’s.” I have also since ,listing to all of these podcasts, officially gotten back into comics. I went to my local comic shop and picked up a bunch of books (I had not been to a comic shop in at least five years).

I can relate to much of this show because I am weirdly only one month younger than Mat, So most of the references I relate too.

I don’t know if Mat or Jesse look at this but I have one question. Mat you said how much you loved Pokemon back in the day, have you played the new one Platinum (yes I just outed my self as a 24 year old pokemon player).

Right on just started listening to this cast and I love it. I wonder if Matt has read Spider-Man 590 because there is a panel just for him
