Adult Swim’s Dana Snyder and FRED’s Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.

Actor/comedian/raconteur Dana Snyder, you’re certainly aware, is Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s Master Shake, Squidbillies‘ Granny, Minoriteam’s Dr. Wang, and The Venture Bros.‘ Alchemist. Available for weddings and bar mitzvahs (bat availability pending), you can keep tabs on him via his website, www.eyeofthesnyder.com.

Ken Plume is the editor-in-chief here at FRED. He is a friend of Dana’s, as well as his arch-nemesis.

KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #53: Fleet Feet And All You Can Eat – Ken & Dana return with another installment to both baffle and alienate, as they launch into a discussion of the late, great Jack Benny before announcing the potential launch of their own little nerd Olympics. Then they answer the great buffet debate, before winding things down with a very special message.

[CONTENT WARNING]: This podcast may contain some foul language and horribly off-color jokes. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

  1. Early, awesome. Thanks guys.

  2. Speaking as a younger person who gets most of your references, I think you guys should give your agedly-challenged fans more credit.

  3. I’m 22. I grew up on Thundercats. I’ve been aware of Cookie Puss and the gang for years. I know who Jack Benny and Rochester are. Hell, I even love the Smothers Brothers (though I’m not sure if you’ve ever mentioned them). You don’t have to be old to be well versed in popular culture.

  4. Yeah, I’m 26, and I catch all the references. Even the obscure ones. Plus, when all else fails, Google.

  5. Just to fill a need to be annoying, especially because there is little chance I can be there to witness it: RACE! RACE! RACE! RACE! RACE!

Also, I think a non-costume race would be best. Just both Ken and Dana wearing track suits with inverted color schemes.

  6. I don’t think I’m the oldest listener… but I’m just throwing out there that I’m 36.

  7. “Remember, thou art mortal! Remember, thou art mortal! Remember, thou art mortal! Remember, thou art mortal!”

“Ah, blow it our your ass.”

  8. Best Snydecast so far, and I’m 27 and get the vast majority of your references.

  9. I’m only 16, but I grew up during the first generation of Toonami, so I know the Cats pretty well.

  10. Wow that was an epic “Goodnight listeners!”

  11. I pondered if I was the oldest listener as I just turned 43 a couple of weeks ago.
