SModcast is the meandering palaver of a pair of dudes whose voices are so dull, they don’t deserve to be on the radio (and, hence, aren’t). Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier are SModcast.
The best thing about SModcast? It don’t cost nothing.

SModcast 50: Gnome Alone –
In which our heroes relate ribald tales of corporate piracy, draw upon the scat games of the short and fantastical, discuss the first generation of hand-held games, and reminisce about the imaginary lengths a boy will go to in an effort to secure some free comic books.
[CONTENT WARNING] SModcast features harsh language and even harsher notions of propriety. Listener discretion is advised.

Uh, yeah. Hi. First time commenter, long time listener. Being as this is SMOD 50, I thought I’d show a little gratitude. Many, many thanks to Kevin, Scott, and all the notorious guests.
And like what’s his nuts so many lines above me…Can’t wait for [Zack and] Miri to OPEN.

I loved this SModcast! I have been getting strange looks from co-workers as I am laughing hysterically in a primarily silent maze of cubicles. SModcast makes my Fridays so much better. Keep up the great work sirs and congrats on 50 episodes!
ps Walt is my favorite guest, I loved his flea market stories from episode 13.

I concur, another SWODCAST was pretty choice. Many gratitudes.

Could somebody tell me what’s the name of the track at the end of the podcast?
Comment by johnjohn — May 23, 2008 @ 6:28 pm
Paul Simon [50 Ways To Leave Your Lover].
Also if you’re a fan of Eminem by any chance,
check out Murder, Murder from the Next Friday
soundtrack which samples this track. Not the album
version though, get the version mixed with 2pac.
Post Script: I love Scott Mosier, but damn do I also
love Walt Flanagan. I would definitely download a
podcast if he did his own. I’d even pay a couple of
bucks.

Hardy: You da man!

Love the show but I have to crack up that Kevin and Walt took to 6:00 explaining about comic distributors when none of that was necessary.
Love the Flanagan accent too.

I must have Surfs up Batman

Favorite show yet. Everytime Walt guest starts I learn about the shady side to some new seemingly innocent enterprise, from hardballing elderly swap-meet vendors to scamming toy stores. Who knew he was such a criminal mastermind?

I was crying at the end I was laughing so hard. That bit should make it into one of your movies, even if it isn’t a Jersey Chronicles movie.

I almost died listening to this. I was working out in my basement listening to Smodcast and at the 52:30 almost dropped a 40lb weight on my head I was laughing so hard.

Listen to you two lose it at the end was freaking hilarious!

DEFINITLY ONE OF THE BEST/FUNNIEST SMODCAST EVER!
Comment by Jon Gibbons — May 29, 2008 @ 7:55 am
The best Smodcast ever. I lived those stories in my life. I worked at comic shops in high school and college and had stories so similar to what they were describing. I was crying I was laughing so hard. From the action figure purchases to the comic conventions, just fantastic.
We did our action figure purchases different. We’d buy the cases for the chase figures, sell those for profit, then return the bunk with no receipt or one if we had it for either Geoffry Dollars or other figures. We also did this with bunk card games unopened boxes. We were so notorious Toys-r-us changed their policy on returns. Those were the days.

[…] how many times I’ve laughed out loud at work because of something said in a Smodcast. In a Smodcast I recently listened to Smith and one of his cohorts and manager of one of Smith’s comic book stores, Walter […]

I just listened to this. Walt, man, you are one unscrupulous motherfucker haha. What with ripping off old ladies at flea markets and this stuff. Wow, geez. haha

I was too amused when I noticed that there were 69 comments (before I posted this one, obv.), & inadvertently quoted “Clerks – the Animated Series”:
“69…heheh.”

I’m so sad. I liked Sonic Disruptors as a kid. But actually I think I only read the first one. Maybe it went downhill from there.
