Cabin Fever (hosted by the twisted souls Brian Fitzpatrick and Aaron Poole) is the result of having too much time on your hands and access to your local community radio station.

Over the course of an hour, they manage to trawl the depths of good taste, plus throw some music in. How much more could you want from a podcast?… Quality? Oh… we didn’t think of that.

CABIN FEVER #20: The Tasty Test – Aaron’s luggage arrives home safe and sound from Texas, almost as if t’were made of sapient pearwood. As a result, our dynamic duo get a first listen of the CD-shaped sex wee that is Waking The Giants, the new album from their favourite band, The Tastydactyls. In keeping with the tasty theme, they take their first tentative steps into the world of Slim Jims, Beef Jerky, and other assorted edible bodily waste while on air, in order to preserve their reactions so that they may be studied long after they have succumbed to food poisoning.

I heard “York University” and was like :O, but then I realized you weren’t talking about Canada. I go to York in Toronto, so when you guys said “we’re gonna go to York University” I got excited…

Good lord, what a coincidence, I JUST got a few bags of beef jerky for the first time in a few years, I come over here to check out your new ‘cast and BAM! A picture of beef jerky.

I agree that Slim Jim is crap, but I love jerkey. Then again, I prefer the teriaki (sp?) flavored jerkey and I’ve been told by jerkey-loving gastronomes that’s the worst jerkey. It being the last jerkey to run out at stores backs up that critisism, but fuck it, more for me.

Also, I don’t mind the laughing during the show; the repetition of quotes from other shows does get annoying, though. It reminds me of people going around saying “Whazaaaaa!” with their fucking tongue after that Budweiser commercial aired about 10 years ago.
