SModcast is the meandering palaver of a pair of dudes whose voices are so dull, they don’t deserve to be on the radio (and, hence, aren’t). Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier are SModcast.

The best thing about SModcast? It don’t cost nothing.

SModcast 24: Rigg-er, Please! –

In which the manager of a comic book emporium and a Canadian infamous for overstatement join forces with a newly-minted senior citizen to discuss past mistakes and the fallout of waging body parts, robotic scat games, hipping-up that which doesn’t require hipping-up, a drug-free “Underdog”, lying to customers, unlikely music to shop/screw to, the average length of straight sex vs. gay sex, and wax rhapsodic about one of the greatest action-movies-starring-a-guy-who-later-went-bat-shit ever made.

[CONTENT WARNING] SModcast features harsh language and even harsher notions of propriety. Listener discretion is advised.

I know this is being posted well over a year later but I was deployed to Iraq and Just heard SModcast 24 today. Wow I just can’t believe Kev and Crew put down Transformers so much. Yes it was modernized but I thought it was a pretty decent film. It could have been worse. I guess since they were not fans of the original series that it kinda makes since. I Can see where they were coming from but calling the rest of us idiots for enjoying a flick that was a pretty decent adaption of the original cartoon. I got Shivers down my spine when I heard Optimus Prime say “Autobots, roll out!” Peter Cullen’s return to voice Prime was a absolute fucking pleasure. Maybe it’s what tied the old cartoon into this movie. It had it’s flaws yes but all and all it wasn’t a raping of the original cartoon. I even reposted a Review I did of it on my current blog if you want to see all my thoughts on it.

Just gettin into smodcasts – felt I needed to speak up on Transformers behalf…
I think the masturbating segment in it and the other adult humour was intended for all the 20+ year olds that watched it as a kid. Obviously if they enjoyed it as a kid they would go to the movie as adults – I suppose the Director or Writers or whoever the fuck was just trying to target that audience.
But I don’t know much about that. They do that for movies, right? That might be something they do? Verification please?
