I have to honestly say, and I’m not quite sure why, that Malcolm is my favorite non-Mosier guest. I don’t like the Smodcasts nearly as much when Mosier isn’t on but Malcolm is indeed very ENTERTAINING. that must be it. He isn’t so much funny as he is extremely entertaining. Hey Kevin,

Here are some pointers for tonight’s show in Toronto:
1) no paid to see ur wife or Jason’s come on stage and steal away the limited time you had snuggling you. we were all happy for them but after her introduction, she was no longer needed on stage.
2) Try not to harp on the 3 hour time limit
3) You seemed grateful for the fan who in these harsh economic times paid $70.00 a ticket to see you ( some of which paid that much to sit behind you).
But when there are 18 people waiting for you outside after the show (of which I was one) have the class to live up to your image and at least wave at them. You did not sign one autograph, take a picture OR say goodnight, you walked by. By the way I saw a handicapped woman at the front of the line, so that was really nice to simply walk past. It was very disappointing Kevin, perhaps you will not treat other fans that way tonight.
4)My four tickets cost about $300.00 ( taxes and service change) which we gladly paid for, but having seen the DVD’s and read your books, I expected more enteraining stories other than your discovery of weed. You never were one note before.

Take this as constructive criticism as we are thrilled you came to Toronto we just want you to live up to who you made us believe you were.

Good luck and remember to be good to Toronto as it has been very good to you.

I can respect a lot of opinions considering movies and if malcom thought that the Dark knight wasn’t good hey it is his right….but he was the first person i have heard say mr and mrs smith was a great movie…wow that ruined it. btw i live in japan where a ticket can cost about $20 and i saw the Dark Knight 4 times…..mr and mrs smith wow what a bad investment on my part

I don’t care what ANYBODY says, Malcolm Ingram is an intelligent man. Sure he may not know when to stop talking once in a while, but his mind is a great mix of artistic integrity and common-man wild impulse. If I was growing up with Malcolm, he’d be THE kid to chill with. He has the balls to go against Dark Knight’s hype — that was my favorite film of 2008 but his criticisms made me THINK. Plus, he made Small Town Gay Bar, so what’s not to like about him?

I want to throw out that I don’t agree with the people who didn’t like recent SMODcasts. I think that the last dozen SMODcasts have been among the best. I like the smodkushed episode, and the related ones. I also like the variety of hosts. Kevin Smith has a pretty dominant personality in these, I think it works to have someone who doesn’t compete for the spotlight, but knows how to keep the conversation going. Perhaps they could arrange calls to/from fans (or experts) on particular subjects. That might make it more interesting for some.

SMODcast has increased my interest in DVD commentary tracks, which I never used to listen to. I also enjoy the occasional quip on American politics, and the remarks about different areas of the world (but throw a San Diegan some perspective).

I love listening to SMODcast while I am driving to work. It’s a great free show. Much like Kevin Smith’s movies, I like some episodes more than others, but I’d take any of them above radio, or even Sirius/XM radio. How about some of you motherfuckers spend less time destroying, and more creating?
