A little off topic but…

They had a showing for Zack and Miri at my college the other day and everyone in the audience was eating it up. I was a little nervous that people might find it too dirty (I saw it a few times in the theatre) but all of my friends and everyone there were laughing hysterically. I even heard a dude say “What a bitch” in a dead serious tone at one scene, like he was really into it. I can’t believe that money didn’t bring in a shit load of bank.

I can’t wait to go buy it tomorrow.

Great episode of smodcast. I love the episodes with Malcolm because it really feels like two good friends just talking shit… it’s like sitting around with the dudes.

hell yes i like to listen to him talk, he’s a funny guy. he’s almost consistently entertaining for HOURS at a time. no other podcast on the net has entertained me more than this one.

fucking haters on the internet. people need to lash out about their own worthless lives so they come on here, rape whats available and then spew bile all over it.. for what?

oh and it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN COMMON with the ‘if you dont like america get out’ mentality, i mean seriously. its not worth debating. ones a country you live in and have to experience every day and the other is a recording a filmmaker made of his stream of consciousness because he recognises he’s a funny guy.

Remember when Kev said that he wished ‘Twister’ had removed all of the story ancillary to the destruction? THAT’S why he loves doing a smodcast with Malcolm – total carnage, maximum entertainment and no love story.

PS: My only problem with Kevin doing a smod toasted is that I’m listening to it unadjusted.

yes another smod…btw i bought zack and miri on blu-ray today and i watched it and thought it was pretty good..the first quarter of the movie i thought was really funny…it seemed a little short..but overall not bad…it should have made more money than it did..gonna have to watch it again to really ingest it all

point #1 – smodcast is an holy grail (good grammar, eh?)
point #2 – smodcast is smith and mosier and thou shalt put no other god before them
point #3 – ALWAYS grateful for other smods (my daughter has only been allowed listen to smoddersday and is a HUGE fan of both Smiths because of said smod)
point #4 – ‘A bit of a chat with…’ is a seriously good fix while waiting for the next smod if you like the more esoteric side of smod
point #5 – I must be OCD because I couldn’t stop at point 4 even though I have nothing more pointed to say

Hey there, great smod.
I will agree with Malcom in the sense that the Batman voice was pretty bad. Although I do think christian bale did an awesome job as bruce wayne.

However, I think Aaron Eckhart’s performance as twoface was fantastic. I don’t think it was weak by any means.

And Heath Ledger, God bless him, gave the performance of a life time as the Joker. Pretty much made Jack Nickelson look like a bitch. And I liked Jack Nickelson as Joker but Heath’s performance blew him out of the water.

I agree with you completely Kevin that Dark Knight absolutely deserved a spot in Best picture.

O and I just wanted to say that Zack and Miri make a porno was fucking excellent. Your movie’s no matter how dirty always have a lot of heart Kevin and for that I truely respect you. I just ordered my copy of Zack and Miri, can’t wait till it comes in.

Agh I really needed this… need a nice cheer up. I’m a Titans fan, a Leafs fan, and an Avs fan, so you can imagine I’m not having a whole lot of fun right now. Banking on the Avs to do something to get into the playoffs… but until that miricle, I wait every week for the new SMod and try and forget about the past NFL season and the current NHL one. I think even when Mos is back there should be a few guests, it keeps me guessing. Kinda like going doggie style after fucking missionary for 3 months. Plus I think Mos deserves to talk on mic with a guest as well.

Another great SMod though, I love Malcolm. Although I am American, were I a Canuck, I’d be proud after hearing him on SModcast.

This was a terrific SMod. I like Malcolm. If I could pick one SModcast guest that should be the only guest when Mosier is gone, it would have to be Malcolm. Even when he says stupid shit he’s infinitely entertaining.

And yes, gillian, I am more than let down that there was no commentary on the DVD. That was the first thing I went for when I popped the DVD in, actually. It’s especially a letdown since we know at leas one exists, being the SModcast one they did that was supposed to be there for us to listen to while watching it in theaters.

Malcolm’s a loose cannon, but not in an evil way, and as shown with the Angelina thing, he’s fully capable of seeing the other side of things. Also, I like how when Mos is on, Kev’s the crazy one, but when Malc’s on, Kev can be the straight man. Nice change-up.

On the local tip, I doubt Kyle Rae would get huffy about Malcolm as a Boystown rep. No worse than the Steps sketches on Kids In the Hall.

Besides, Malc deserves props for helping out on the Kevin Smith Fest coming to Toronto next week at the Bloor Cinema! Woohoo!

Why has criticism become such a dirty word all of a sudden? As long as it’s worded in a polite way I don’t see the problem even if smodcast is free. Why should that have any bearing on our enjoyment of it? And this is internet after all, one only has to read youtube comments for 5 minutes to understand that everybody has something to say about everyting and it’s not always going to be nice to say the least.
