    I really dig Smodcast and everything, far and away the best podcast out there. But. Why have the last 2 had such ridiculous download times….they are absolutely crawling.

    Amazing two smods with Bryan. Even though you guys were both stoned off your asses (well, at least Kevin was) there were some truly deep discussions that really got me to think in between my fits of laughter in these two smods. Can’t wait for Mos to get back but I’m enjoying these immensely.

    Speaking of hard to watch things, yesterday I watched the French movie Eyes Without a Face (which was awesome), but on the Criterion disc, there was a documentary the director did earlier in his career, called Blood of the Beasts, and it’s unbelievable (and disarmingly beautiful). It’s about the goings-on in a slaughterhouse in Paris. I think anyone who loves red meat has a partial responsibility of checking this out.

    Having listened to 73.5 and then about half-way through 73, I have to ask …

    Did nobody catch how the story about the Canadian getting chopped up in ep. 73 was immediately followed by the “Blame Canada” intro to 73.5? Is that completely hilarious/ironic to anybody else?

    Just figured I would let you guys know that second degree murder in Canada means there is no evidence of pre-planning. It does not indicate that the crime is any less horrific.

    It carries a penalty of life in prison wiht no chance of parole for a minimum of 10 years. I think the judge can set it as high as 25 years with nor parole.
