    Minority Report as a cuationary tale about free will, and not about corruption in government, as Smith and Mosier say.

    If memory serves, the very thing the title is named after, the minority report is an alternate furture reality, in which one of the precogs see an an alterntive future that belies what the other precogs see. And because there exists a possible alternative reality, one in which the possible murder may or may not occur, the murder is not set in stone. In fact, the movie implies strongly that the murder doesn’t happen until after it happens.

    The engineers of the precrime program hid the minority report from the public to ensure the program’s legitimacy in the court of public opinion. They lead the people to believe the system was free of flaws. When the public finds out that it’s not accurate 100 percent of the time, THEN they shut it down.

    I give Smith and Mosier a D minus.

    i think it’s good that scott has starting to fully come out of his shell and stopped being just kev’s sidekick. he’s been on a roll recently and on this one he was scorching hot.

    also, marco, if you have listened to smodcast long enough you would know that kev & scott tend to be factually wrong on a lot of things and alot of the factual errors tend to spin off some wacky scenarios,skit&train of thoughts that is one of key things of the show.

    You may be right with the “Transitive Dumbass Theory”. More right than I would like to accept. And writing isn’t what I love, my mac has crashed 2 times in the past semester and I’m sick of loosing papers. The blog is a great backup system. Film is the passion.

    On the plus side, we’re speaking again. Not the same as before but it will have to build back up I guess.

    Lost – About the Mac crashing two things, if you don’t have an external firewire drive by now you deserve what you get. Lose your data once, shame on the MFG lose your data twice shame on you, lose your data thrice – you’re a blooming idiot.
    Secondly if it is a 600Mhz to 1.42 Mhz Ibook you will eventually lose the logic board so a backup is a necessity. The GPU will de-laminate from the logic board and will need to be repaired or replaced.
    ** I think I’m in love with April B, a more apt line has not been read of these eyes. Pure comic genius.

    All this talk of Gretzky is really ironic; as The Great One and his team (PHX Coyotes) were in L.A. this past Sunday.

    Gretz participated in a ceremony honoring he and other past Kings greats, prior to them dropping the puck.

    I suspect Kev was there and decided on some ‘me’ time. Rather than recording a fresh Smod. Plus the guy has other things to do as well.

    Besides, Baseball Season has just begun; NHL playoffs are only another week away.. Be happy. 🙂 🙂 🙂

    SMod (in theory) is suppose to be a weekly affair, but sometimes there are long breaks in between postings.
    While this may be frustrating to people it does make things all the more sweet when a new installment finally gets posted.

    Sometimes Kevin gets busy doing other things. As Peter J. stated above, Wayne Gretzky was in L.A. on Sunday. Do you think Kevin would miss that? Not a chance. Then today it was his wife’s birthday. As you can image he was probably busy celebrating that with her.

    SMod will come eventually. Then we’ll forget all about this short wait.

    For those that don’t know. You can visit the Viewaskew Forum every Sunday and read for yourself whether or not there will be a new Smod. Kevin is pretty good about keeping us apprised of the situation.

    I love when people refer to Kevin Smith as “Kev” or “Kevin”, as if you all know him personally. He doesn’t care about you, hell he doesn’t even know who you are. Stop posting information about what he does like @theotherbilly…”Sometimes Kevin gets busy doing other things”…”Do you think Kevin would miss that?” (reference to Gretzy being in L.A.) Please stop talking like you are his representative and just check back every once in a while to see if there is a new Smodcast. You are not his agent, shutup and stop pretending to be his E-Friend.

    Could it be that just saying ‘Kevin gets busy doing other things’ is easier than writing out, ‘The writer, director, sometimes editor of some movies that I like, whome I have sadly never met, but goes by the name of Kevin Smith, is reported to have said through a third party whose sources of information are usually trustworty, that he is sometimes busy doing other things.’

    Just seems easier to assume that when I, or anyone else, call him Kevin or even Kev, the rest of the peole on this thread will know who we are talking about.

    Hey Juice, It strikes me that you’ve read this entire thread all the while telling yourself that you’re better than the rest of the folks who post here. Why did you read the thread at all? After all you could have taken your own advise and just checked to see if a new smodcast had been posted. You’ll likely reply by saying that you read it all to make fun of the people who’ve already posted. Oh and since Kev and I are such bosom buddies I think I can safely say that he probably likes the fact that his fans feel a personal connection to him since it leads them to buy way more of his merchandise. I doubt that any of the people who posted here are delusional or stalkers; they’re just devoted fans excited about a new piece of content from our good, true, and close friend Kevin. Oh, and in your attempt to seem more formal, you left out ole Smitty’s middle name. If you really wanted to seem different from the others who post here,you should have referred to K-Dog as Kevin Patrick Smith. You pathetic lurking weirdo.
