- Evan Almighty debuted in the number one spot at this weekend’s box office. The film, which stars comedian Steve Carrell, pulled in $32.1 million. The film did not do as well as expected despite warnings from Christian leaders that if people do not see the film, they would go to hell.
- Rapper 50 Cent is back in court but this time, it’s for child support. Marquise Jackson, the mother of Cent’s 10-year-old son is asking for more child support. Cent said that while he wouldn’t offer Jackson any more money, he would give her “a cap in her ass.”
- Organizers for the Live Earth concert series have canceled the planned performance in Istanbul, Turkey. The show was to be part of an eight site concert happening in different cities all over the world and featuring such artists as Snoop Dogg and Shakira. According to insiders, the show was canceled due to confusion surrounding the location. Istanbul was Constantinople, now it’s Istanbul not Constantinople, been a long time gone, why did Constantinople get the works? That’s nobody’s business but the Turks.
