This is a sloppy punk song about a fight on the schoolyard called Little Jimmy From Grade 2.

I was anguished over how I was going to do the guitar, but solved that problem by not including any guitar whatsoever. I think it sounds good without it, but I might be the only one.

It's danceability is questionable, but that depends on how broad your definition of dance is. If you wish to simply slam yourself against others, this song should suffice.

Nice. I could definitely hear a ratty, slightly out of tune guitar for this song in my head. But it works as it is. I like the energy and lyrics. Fun tune.

I couldn't shake the notion that my song would indeed sound better with guitar, so I added the most basic guitar accompaniment possible (a technique commonly known as "punk guitar"). Bass also, when really shines where the guitar takes a break in the bridge. I used Guitar Hero 4's songmaking tools so they sound like canned garbage, but it's canned garbage that gets the job done.

The song sounds less unique and different this way, but infinitely better. Give it another listen if you're feeling charitable.

Hi! This is "This Stupid War", which is a waltz (DANCE!) that may or may not have an anacrucis (UPBEAT!), and may or may not be optimistic (ALSO UPBEAT!).

It's in a major key, anyway.

It is about our ongoing war on insect pests, which increases crop yields wonderfully. And is also, apparently, damaging our brains enough to lower our IQs.

Lo-fi trick - you should know that any earphone or speaker can, in a pinch, double as a microphone. It might not be *pretty*, but it's something that works. (Mics and speakers work by converting vibrations - usually from a paper cone {speaker} or diaphragm {microphone} - through a conductive material - a magnet and coil, usually - into electrical signals - through the wire, then vice versa at the other end.)
