Same here. Got a Vita for my birthday but no games to go with it.

Finished Fallout: New Vegas. Played every bloody inch of it. I haven't liked a game enough to do that in a long time. Ab-so-lutely terrific. It's pretty much the next-gen Fallout game that 3 should have been.

Now playing the add-ons 'cos my obession isn't quite over yet.

Hey! I liked fallout 3, and though I wasn't too impressed with the ending, the Operation Anchorage DLC redeemed it allowing me to venture forth to wreack my special brand of heroism/dickishness elsewhere. That and Point Lookout are superb.

Haven't played new vegas though (something about bethesda and PS3 that doesn't quite seem to gel)

At the moment I'm playing Hitman absolution, and its not as good as blood money but I like it about the same same as 2 and a little more than contracts. In some weird way I've found it more entertaining than Dishonored.

Been playing the living shit out of this version of videogaming cocaine.

Seriously, me and a mate taking turns (oo-er missus) for 11 hours straight. Then eschewing sleep for another 10 hour shift the following day.

Game.

Been playing the hell out the Ratchet & Clank 10th Anniversary PS3 edition...

The final boss battle in the first game reminded me of why I had to replace my PS2 controllers more than a few times

As the PS3 controllers are three times the price to replace, I moved on to "Going Commando"... I'll go back to the first game eventually, collect 150,000 bolts, get the RYNO, and finish the last battle.

I'm with you. I lost nearly a month of my life to this thing. Finally broke away recently. I guess it's both a blessing and a curse that the PS3 version is so buggy.

Like a fool I've been playing it on Ironman mode. Basically you get one save and can't reload any mistakes.

Someone gets blindsided and shot- gone.
Spend your budget on research when you should be upgrading your fighter jets- buggered.
Neglect research to fill the sky with Red Barons- throwing rocks and sticks at the aliens on ground missions.

Firm but fair.

There aren't enough funakis!

I remember the joy of picking up 2nd hand copies of xcom 1 and 2 in Liffey Valley, when they'd been out for more than a decade.

Worth every penny. Minutiae for the win.

PC-only xcom apocalypse is a humdinger too. Available on Steam or [legally acquire] it and use DosBox. Can be difficult to get running on new PCs though.

I've never been able to figure out how to play PC games on a Mac. I've read the how-to guides but I usually walk away more confused than before.

A lot of times you have to multi-boot, but that is a pain in the ass.
