Ken, I have so much respect for you, I can’t even. You are brave as hell. Thank y, thank you.

When my Gran died, my Papa was destroyed. When he broke his hip a scant 9 months later, and his lung – yes, his lung, he only had half of one after a bout with TB in the 60s – couldn’t handle the recovery, I died a little. My aunts all said he wanted to go, but I died a little. I hope Grandpa Leonard kicks cancer’s ass.

Kenny- what a wonderful tribute to your Grandpa Leonard. I cried as I read your words and watched the video of Len and Jean reading your story. I grew up 2 houses up from the Rosenbaums in Levittown NY when your Dad joined the Rosenbaum family. Your Aunt Cathy and I have been friends since then. My Dad “Dick Pellicane” and Leonard were best friends, so as families we have kept in touch over all the years and all the moves. Please tell your Dad hello for me. I know this must be very hard on your Dad, and you too. Leonard and Jean are 2nd parents to me. I cannot imagine life without them both. You have given your Grandpa a wonderful gift today. It will give him comfort and joy. And to your Grandma Jean too. There is no good reason the people we love so much are taken from us. Its one of the mysteries of life. That said you brought much joy with your tribute and I thank you.
