always thought they got the name Starbucks from the guy from Moby Dick…he drank coffee and his name was Starbuck I think he was Ahabs second in command or his assistant…its been a while since i read it but i always thought thats where they got their name…course that could be completely ridiculously wrong…

Great cast guys. I looked up the origin of the Starbucks name and I’ll try to remember to email my findings later.

For the record, I’m not getting an ipad because I can’t play MMORPGs on it.
I do admit I am curious to know everything you can do on it.

OMG i’m like 2 minutes into this thing and i can’t stop smiling, what another fantastic snydecast moment when Dana cracks and admits to buying the ipad. Good lord do i love this podcast.

Dana, I’m gonna be front row and center for your columbus show and I am very much so looking forward to it. Plumey, i’ll give you so much chick fillet and funny hats if you somehow show up!

Here’s something interesting about this episode. I haven’t listened to it yet, but just reading the description of it reminded me of another episode, and that’s when I made THIS revelation.

Ken P.D. Snydecast, Episode 42: Do You Know the Ice Cream Man?

Ken and Dana Wax on and on about one of the true lions of the consumer ice cream industry, and find themselves unable to concentrate on anything else, no matter how hard they try.

And then, EXACTLY 100 episodes later, we get this:

Ken and Dana return with a revelation from one of them that completely overwhelms any other discussion that might have occured. And it doesn’t occur because they talk about that revelation. The whole time.

Anyway, I thought that was really pretty cool. Exactly 100 episodes apart, it’s the same theme. Well done, gentleman.
