Actually, by stating that a “stereotypical EMO” is not really an “EMO”, aren’t you then just as guilty of changing your opinions and preferences to fit a crowd as the people you seem to be attacking?
Surely even if your preferences coincide with that of “the masses” or even just a particular group, if they’re your preferences then that shouldn’t matter, right?

Of course all of this is nullified entirely by virtue of the fact that everything is delegated a particular place in the collective psyche and woe-betide those who step outside its confines, even by way of your own argument you state that if you “try just being you”, “the rest will follow”.

Although again this is a deliberate misinterpretation of your statement to make it appear as though an offshoot would start its own group of popularity whereas I assume you were really just saying the equivalent of “look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves”, meaning that by being true to your own particular vision or dream, the rest of your life should settle into place, this again is probably quite deeply flawed as a strategy but overall would make the world a somewhat different place.

I’m still not entirely sure what you were saying really.
But, basically, the way I see it is, if you’re alive and you’re happy with what you’re doing then you’re alright.

First of all, yes everyone does gets emotional, unless you’re dead. Secondly, if you claim to be a “Stereotypical EMO” then you’re not really EMO….people who try to fit into a stereotype are just as misguided as the people trying to be in the “Popular Crowd” or the “Skater Crowd” or the “Goth” or what ever group you wish to be associated with. Try just being you, and the rest will follow. I can tell first hand they meant no offence to any particular person, or group.

I finally wrote a review for the Snydecast on iTunes but it hasn’t appeared for over a week. It wasn’t anything inappropriate either… All I said was “The Snydecast is like a party for your ears!”

And what’s with all the emo bashing? Emo is short for emotional, which EVERYONE is at times. And I’m in the category of your stereotypical emo, so I got a bit offended. It’s possible I may have misinterpreted what you said though…
