I have to be the one to address the religion thing in the cast? Lord, give me strength. The one thing I despise is the use of the word brainwashed. This is in no way Dana’s fault. He is just reacting to thousands of years of bad press that Christianity receives on a daily basis. A lot of it brought upon us by us. See, if we were Muslims and you said this then we could just blow you up, but that whole ‘turn the other cheek’ makes this more than difficult.
Do I think that the Earth has been around for six thousand years? No. See, people make the biggest mistake by trying to put limitations and interpretations on something that is beyond our normal senses.
Jesus made it simple with two bullet points.
One, believe that I (Jesus) am the one true way to God.
Two, treat your neighbor as you would like to be treated.
All the other stuff, the rules, the regulations are just extraneous. These are the two things to always remember.
So, in closing, Dana, I would like to apologize for Christianity as a whole for giving you such a negative outlook on our way of thinking. And, yes, a lot of us think for ourselves. It’s why we were given free will.
