Yea, the little hinges allow the back half to point downward, but you’re right – using the standard peg they stick out from the back, now down toward the ground. Yea, I think you could remove the wings from the backpack assembly and rig up your own peg attachment if you really, really felt the need…

Great review & awesome photos, good job! I gotta totally agree that this new line of toys are pretty cool. The only problem is I am starting to run out of room in my house, ha ha!

I’m extremely excited for the new Blue Beetle figure, with one caveat- couldn’t they have made wings that look like wings when pegged onto the back? Apparently they jut out perpendicular to the back, and those hinges were added to lazily address the issue. Really they should spread upwards from behind the shoulders- can you transplant the peg or attach it with some fun-tack to his back? Some additional pictures of that would be really awesome, of course.
