Adult Swim’s Dana Snyder and FRED’s Ken Plume set out to have a literate conversation between two pals, but inevitably devolve into a verbal, and funny, free-for-all full of bickering, infighting, and the special kind of male bonding that comes from conflict expressed through the podcast medium.
Actor/comedian/raconteur Dana Snyder, you’re certainly aware, is Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s Master Shake, Squidbillies‘ Granny, Minoriteam’s Dr. Wang, and The Venture Bros.‘ Alchemist. Available for weddings and bar mitzvahs (bat availability pending), you can keep tabs on him via his website, www.eyeofthesnyder.com.
Ken Plume is the editor-in-chief here at FRED. He is a friend of Dana’s, as well as his arch-nemesis.

Wow, this is pretty ruff. I was there and can barely tell what’s going on.

Good grief guys! Where was the mic during this whole thing? It sounds like it was recorded from a ventilation shaft in the ceiling. This does not live up to the award winning Snyecast name!

Haven’t heard it yet. Just be thankful they got one out. When I woke up this morning at 9 and didn’t see a new snydecast I thought I was going to have to kill myself. The snydecast being one of the few things that brings me back from the brink on a weekly basis.
Also, when are we going to get an update to the blog? You can’t just introduce the blog and then abandon it. An award winning blog would be updated weekly.

I’ve been looking forward to hearing this… as I was there… but it is so difficult to tell what’s going on. Doesn’t matter it was still really fun!

yeah….. that was bad… like really bad

Now that I’ve listened. I have to agree the audio was pretty bad. Sadly, for the multi-tasker’s podcast, I found myself having to listen so closely to what was going on that I couldn’t do anything else. Even then, it was still only brief moments that I understood what was being said. Still, a snydecast is a snydecast.

First, no ZAM-SMod Monday, then this. How depressing. (For the record, this will have been the only episode I’ve ever had to turn off, nor will I ever revisit it.)
Oh well. In an effort to combat this horribly un-listenable week, (considering we’ll never see or hear the illusive AV-Snyde,) I suggest maybe revisiting Episode 13. (or ANY Episode between 13-67, for that matter.) But 13 in particular b/c there were a bunch of Special Guests (like Doc Hammer,) it was noisy yet audible, AND an actual logo was picked. Hopefully next week produces better results.
Plus, @ CharlesT: About the Blog, I second that. Wafflers Extraordinaire, these guys.

Ooph, yeah I could barely hear anything. 🙁 The only thing that brings me comfort is that I know next episode Dana will berate Plumey for fucking the sound up somehow. 🙂

🙁
cant wait for next weeks episode.

wow this is to this podcast what revolution #9 was to the white album, an experimental masterpiece. A complete innovation in the world of podcasting, it was borderline white noise for the most part with faint notions of dana and ken and a few other people throughout. The best way to describe it would have to be, art.

listen to the last couple of minutes it’s easier to hear because we were closer to the mics.

So was there another panel going on behind the curtain? At least this keeps you guys on track for a podcast a week.
All I kept hearing was the chick who kept yelling and I own a top of the line Shure 530 head phones.
Personally I liked the experimental piece of taping in a moving vehicle. There was a sound in the background that sounded like a loose head bumping about. That episode was a year or so ago.

I can’t wait til next week..
I never miss a Snydecast, but I can’t bare to listen to this one.
November 9th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
Seriously Dana, I’m waiting for ya to rip Plumey a new one for botching this episode. 🙂
November 10th, 2008 at 10:51 am
awful. just awful. Dana, don’t let Plumey record on a Talkboy anymore.

this is the soundtrack to some kind of crazy nerd nightmare.

If anybody actually listened to this, about seven minutes in I mentioned that i skipped some of the earlier Snydecasts because of the poor sound quality.
Ironic? Perhaps.
