Wagon Train was known to have some of the famous movie stars from the 30s and 40s on their show. I believe the reason was the stars of that era were reaching a “certain age” in their lives when their talents weren’t needed as much in Hollywood (at least that’s what I heard). The movie star I remember the most on Wagon Train was Bette Davis.
