It takes less time to put together a trailer column than it does an interview (there’s the audio to transcribe and that alone is a vacuum of time-suckage) but there is validity in your point.

It’s actually a lot harder to find the independent trailers, the really good ones, that float out there which never get seen. Por ejemplo, TRADE, DAY NIGHT DAY NIGHT, IN BRUGES (which I am really happy I found before the year got out and, I apologize in advance, am actually trying to get time with the writer/director to talk about it) are all good examples of films that will never be seen by people, much less the trailers.

Apple used to be good in just putting everything up. Everything. They’ve got a new system that doesn’t work so well, and I think minimizes what made the Quicktime Trailers site so nice for me, so I’m forced to wait to find them on my own or look to sites overseas who like to showcase a wide swath of films.

I could go on and on but, yes, you’re right and I am hoping strike a nice balance of getting every trailer that deserves attention, the really good (The new Dark Knight trailer) and the really bad (Wall-E, anyone?), the attention they deserve.

You know, reviewing trailers? I can go to plenty of other websites to read interviews, but for a while this site was the only place to go to read actual, in-depth reviews of movie trailers. Now that’s gone…
